But, what else do you need? A coaster for your mug! In the Maple Coasters workshop you will learn the basics of tapestry crochet, a technique for crochet colorwork. You will learn how to make a color change, carry and float yarn, and split your yarn into bobbins. She learned to crochet just over two years ago when the school's Fiber Arts Club needed an advisor, and one of the students taught her the basics of crochet. Her love for crochet has since exploded, and she has developed specialities in color work and lace. Nicole has a background in science curriculum design which has lent itself well to pattern writing and creating other crochet teaching tools.
