Joyful Mending
Joyful Mending will introduce you to several techniques for creating visible mends that add charm and personality to your much-loved knitted garments and accessories using felted wool patches and basic embroidery. We'll cover how to choose colors to complement your item, how to design and cut patches, and basic embroidery stitches for securing and embellishing your design.
Teacher: Kristen Olson
Kristen Olson is is a knitter, spinner, sometimes sewist, and general collector of hobbies. She earns a living looking at historic buildings and loves making things and being outdoors with friends.
Supplies Needed:
- Optional: bring a knitted item to be repaired, felted wool scraps, darning needle, scissors, scrap yarn and/or embroidery floss
Previous Skills Needed: Previous experience sewing a running stitch.
