Do you want to experience the community and connection Connected Stitches boasts for an entire weekend? Do you want opportunities to learn new fiber arts skills, enjoy the outdoors, and be inspired by other people’s creativity while unlocking your own? 

Join us at The Y at Watson Woods in Painted Post, NY this summer for our first ever Fiber Arts Retreat!

June 26th-28th

Classes are now available for registration. Classes are only open to those who have registered for the full retreat weekend. You cannot only attend classes at this time. Classes are on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. You may register for one AM class and one PM class. Or, you can choose to register for one or no classes and just use the free time to socialize and craft. 

After you have registered for the retreat, go to retreat classes and register for your classes!

Retreat Pricing and Scholarships:

The base price for the retreat includes:

-Lodging for Friday and Saturday nights

-All meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast)

-Saturday morning workshop choice

-Saturday afternoon workshop choice 

-Goodie bag with welcome treats 

You may choose to help scholarship another person. In an effort to make this retreat as accessible as possible, we are offering scholarship opportunities through an application. If you choose to add a scholarship amount, the full monetary value of that scholarship will be awarded to someone who otherwise could not have attended a retreat like this.

This is an Adult retreat. You can expect connection through fiber arts (our specialty!) in the gorgeous Southern Finger Lakes region. We hope you can join us for this accessible retreat. 

Room Options:

Shared Dorm style room with a twin size bed $390  
Private Dorm style room (with private bath) with a twin size bed $465 
Shared Hotel style room with a double size bed $410 
Private Hotel style room with a double size bed $515

All linens are included in these rooms. Dorms share a bathroom, hotel style have a private bathroom. All rooms are on a first floor level. The rooms are simple and nice. The Y at Watson Woods cooks for us and cleans up so we can focus on connection and fiber arts!

 

Dietary needs and accessibility needs will be accounted for at registration.

8:00am–Inclusive/Accessible Yoga

9:30am–Brunch

10:30am–Group cleanup

11:30am–Departure

Optional: stop in Corning for coffee and yarn shops!


Packing List (these are just suggestions, feel free to come as you are!)

  • Snacks! Chocolate! Treats of any kind. Seltzer! We will have a snack and treat table available, bring your favorites to share!
  • A project light. Like lumos or a knockoff if you want a neck dangler. A table light can also be useful.
  • Shoes to take a stroll/jog, or slippers for lounging
  • Other small crafting stuff if you want to do other things (knitting? embroidery?)
  • Supplies you need for your Saturday workshops
  • Warm comfy clothes for outdoor fire time
  • A personal coffee making device if wanted (there is a commercial, church basement style coffee available in the cafeteria)
  • All rooms have simple linens and towels. Bring your own comfort items for a good sleep if wanted. 

 

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

  • Refunds will only be made 30 days prior to the retreat (May 26th)
  • Refunds will exclude any payment processing fees ($75)
  • Any cancellations within 30 days of the retreat will only be refunded if we find someone to take your spot (and will also exclude any payment processing fees, $75)
