Learn to Needle Felt a Winter Snowman in 3D!

Have you wanted to try needle felting but didn't know how to start? This is your chance! Come learn the basics of needle felting 3D shapes with Connected Stitches. No experience necessary, so no matter what your skill level feel free to come learn and make a felt creation. Chris will guide participants step by step to make a needle felted snowman just in time for Winter. Learn the art of stabbing wool into amazing creations!

All supplies needed to make one snowman are included in the cost of the class. You will use a foam felting pad and needles that are provided for use in class, and take a finished snowman home with you. 

Dates: Saturday 12/7 OR Tuesday 12/17

*Note that the shop opens at 10a on Saturday. There may be customers browsing and Chris may need to help check someone out during that time. We aim to keep students the priority.*

Time: 10a-12p (Saturday) OR 6-8p (Tuesday)

Location: Connected Stitches Yarn & Fiber Shop (10 W Main Street in Dryden, NY (parking is available along Main Street, accessible park is behind the building with a driveway entrance on North St)

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner. This class is best suited for adults and kids ages 9+ with the supervision of an adult, as the sharp needles used need to move quite fast to shape and felt the wool. 

Description: In this class, you'll learn the basics of needle felting. You will use barb tipped needles to felt wool and sculpt it into a snowman. No experience is necessary and all materials are included in the cost of class.

Prerequisites: None, no previous experience needed

Techniques you will learn: Needle felting with wool

What's Included:

• A pad and needles for use during class (you will not take these home with you)
• Wool and supplies to make a snowman (with the option to make a scarf, hat, and accessories)
• Learning something in community!
