Mosaic Knitting: Pressed Flower Kerchief
Join this skill building class designed to introduce you to a new knitting technique- mosaic knitting! In this class we will use the Pressed Flower Kerchief pattern to learn mosaic. We will go over the pattern instructions together, become familiar with the technique & answer any questions so that you can continue on your project at home. Knitting in a group can provide great encouragement and excitement as you see other projects come to life.

Wednesday 5/6

Teacher: Alyssa Welty

Alyssa is a developing fiber artist who is enamored by hand crafts, sustainable making and building community through art. She is passionate about leaning into vulnerability through artistic expression, and embracing the imperfection in making. She finds allowing herself to create without critique to be a healing, infectious process. Alyssa spins, dyes, knits, and sometimes dabbles in weaving and embroidery. 

Cost: $50

Max Number of Participants: 8

Skill Level: Intermediate/ adventurous beginner

Prerequisites: basic knitting skills (casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, slipping stitches, binding off)

Techniques you will learn: reading a chart, mosaic knitting

What You Need:
  • Worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors
  • Size 4mm (US6) needles
