Pocket Chicken Knitting Workshop
Need an emotional support chicken you can carry in your pocket? Want to deck out your bag or backpack with a clucky little charm? Come make a pocket chicken with us! This fun workshop will supply you with all you need to make your very own portable chicken friend. Come hang out, spend time connecting in community, and make your own wee lil chicken 🐓

Location: Connected Stitches Yarn & Fiber Shop (10 W Main Street in Dryden, NY (parking is available along Main Street, accessible park is behind the building with a driveway entrance on North St)

Skill Level: Build on the basics. This class is best suited for adults who have basic knitting skills. This is not for absolute beginners knitting for the first time.
Description: In this class, you will make your own pocket sized chicken. Choose funky fun or natural colors, all supplies provided, to make your small friend. You’ll use Judy’s Magic Cast On, small circumference knitting with double pointed or long circular needles, short row shaping and increases, and three need bind off. You’ll use embroidery to decorate your chicken with some personality.
Prerequisites: basic knitting skills (casting on, knitting, binding off, increasing).

What's Included:
- Enough variety sized yarn and stuffing to make one or two pocket chickens
- printed copy of the pattern
- keyring or lobster clasp if you want to make your chicken a keychain
What you need:
- double pointed needles or a long circular needle for magic loop (choose a size or two smaller than the needles recommended on the yarn label)
- darning needle
- scrap yarn if you’d like to use your own
