Knit your own tank or tee this summer!
Have you always wanted to make your own wearable t-shirt or tank top? Start a project but don’t quite finish it? Join this supported knit-along! During the months of July and August we will knit alongside each other to finish a summer t-shirt or tank top. You choose your project, yarn, and join the scheduled times for support and community. We will meet the Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons listed below to encourage one another and knit together so we can finish these tops! Accountability and community commence!
Dates/times:
Thursday, July 9th (6-8p) Cast on and KAL kickoff!
Saturday, July 25th (1-3p)
Thursday, August 6th (6-8p)
Saturday, August 22nd (1-3p)
Location: Connected Stitches Yarn & Fiber Shop 10 W Main St Dryden, NY 13053 (parking is available along Main Street)
KAL Guides: Alyssa Welty and Chris Cushman
Description: In this supported Knit Along you'll work on a tee or tank pattern of your choosing with the goal to finish by August. There is no pressure to finish on time, but encouragement and accountability are offered through the knit along setting to finish a project.
*You don’t need to attend every week to join. But, the more you show up the more accountability you’ll have to finish your project on time.
The $5 sign up fee is to ward off spammers.
Prerequisites: knitting, purling, knitting in the round are helpful. This is not for absolute beginners. Participants should be comfortable with basic knitting skills. You do not need previous experience knitting wearable garments specifically.

This is not an exhaustive list. These patterns have been tested, are size inclusive, and fun to knit. You are welcome to choose any tank, tshirt, or summer top pattern you like.

What You Need:
- Choose and purchase (if necessary) your pattern of choice. Options are listed above but you do NOT need to choose from this list.
- Knitting needles to meet gauge
- Yarn (some favorites are listed below)
- Notions called for in the pattern (this could include scissors, stitch markers, measuring tape, etc.)
Choose your yarn from the shop, we recommend the following but this is not an exhaustive list. There are many yarns that are lovely for spring/summer weather. Feel free to use any yarn accessible to you. Email if you have any questions on yarn choice or substitution.
