Technique Tuesdays: All About Gauge!

Ever wondered what “gauge” means at the top of a knitting pattern? Do you breeze by it because it seems too technical? Take this workshop to demystify knitting gauge! Take control of your knitting fabric to get the fit and finished project that you want.

Description: We will demystify gauge in this class. Talk points will be what gauge is, how to make a gauge swatch, how to read your swatch and understand gauge, what to do if you don’t meet gauge, and more. 

Prerequisites: none.

Techniques you will learn: gauge swatching, all about gauge 

What you need:

• Optional- a finished gauge swatch to measure and understand for a project you want to complete. 

Homework: none. You are welcome to knit a gauge swatch for a pattern you will be knitting, but it is not a requirement.
