“I learned to knit when I was 5. My Nana tried her best to teach me, but my hole-ridden scarf just ended up in the toy chest.

Fast forward to 2018. I was postpartum with my second kiddo and feeling like nothing was just "mine" anymore. Parenthood had flipped my life upside down and my body, mind, and time were all being used to care for young children. I was drained and at a real low point in my life. I found a yarn shop local to me and dove into my first sweater project. Knitting became a therapy and a way for me to reclaim the person I was aside from spouse or parent. I got connected to a community at this yarn shop that cheered me on, inspired me, and helped me grow as a knitter. I want to inspire others to find the same connection.”
